GSOURCERS AFRICA COMMUNITY POLICIES
Welcome to GSourcers, the premier platform for Africa’s aspiring and established individuals. Our mission is to connect and empower the continent’s workforce, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and everyone in between. We are building a community rooted in respect, authenticity, and shared success. To ensure this, we have established the following policies, which are inspired by the best practices of leading networking platforms.
1. Be Professional and Respectful
Our community thrives on civil and professional discourse. We expect all members to treat each other with courtesy and to engage in constructive dialogue.
- Professional Conduct: All conversations, posts, and interactions must be kept professional. We encourage broad discussions about education, career paths, and the world of work, but personal attacks, bullying, and harassment have no place here.
- No Hate Speech: We strictly prohibit any content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability.
- No Sexual Harassment: GSourcers is not a dating site. We do not tolerate unwanted sexual advances, lewd remarks, or any form of sexual innuendo or harassment.
- Civility and Tone: Do not share content that is uncivil, inappropriate, or disrespectful. Maintain a professional and polite tone in all your communications, including messages and comments.
2. Be Trustworthy and Authentic
Authenticity is the cornerstone of our community. We require you to use your true identity and to share information that is genuine and accurate.
- Real Identity: Your profile must represent you as a real person. Do not create fake profiles or impersonate others. Your profile photo should be a genuine likeness of yourself.
- Accurate Information: Do not provide misleading or deceptive information about yourself, your qualifications, academic background, work experience, or affiliations. Be truthful about your achievements and professional journey.
- Genuine Content: Share information that is real and authentic. Do not spread false or misleading content, including misinformation, disinformation, or “deepfake” media.
- No Scams or Fraud: Do not use GSourcers to engage in scams, pyramid schemes, or other fraudulent activities. This includes phishing attempts and distributing malicious software.
- Transparency in Endorsements: If you endorse a person or product in exchange for personal benefit (e.g., payment, free services), you must clearly and conspicuously disclose it.
3. Be Safe and Law-Abiding
Your safety and the security of our platform are paramount. We do not allow any content or behavior that could endanger our members or violate the law.
- No Violence or Threats: Do not post content that threatens, incites, or promotes violence of any kind. We do not allow individuals or groups that engage in violent or criminal activities.
- Prohibited Content: We have a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation material. Do not share, post, or solicit content that depicts the sexual exploitation of children.
- No Illegal Activities: Do not use GSourcers to promote, sell, or attempt to purchase illegal or dangerous goods or services. This includes but is not limited to, fraudulent certifications, scraped data, and instructions for creating forged documents.
- Intellectual Property: Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not share content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.
- No Spam: We do not allow untargeted, unwanted, or repetitive promotional content. Do not use our features, such as invitations, to spam people you do not know or to artificially boost engagement.
4. E-Learning, Training, and Live Classes
GSourcers is an educational technology platform. We provide tools for members to host and participate in live classes, training, and e-learning. To ensure a safe and effective learning environment, all content and interactions within these services must adhere to the following:
- Educational Purpose: All courses, live classes, and training sessions must be for legitimate educational or professional development purposes. They should be aligned with the platform’s mission of connecting and empowering African individuals.
- Content Authenticity: Instructors and content creators must ensure that all course materials are their own original work or that they have the legal right to use and distribute them. Do not plagiarize or infringe on others’ intellectual property.
- Professional Conduct in Live Sessions: Participants and instructors in one-on-one or group live classes must maintain the same professional and respectful conduct required throughout the platform. Harassment, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate use of chat and video features will not be tolerated.
- Accurate Representation: Instructors must accurately represent the content, learning outcomes, and prerequisites of their courses and classes. Do not mislead students about what they will learn or achieve.
- No Commercial Solicitations: Live classes and training sessions should not be used as a primary means to directly solicit business or sell products and services unrelated to the course content.
5. Community Reporting and Enforcement
We rely on our community to help us maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Report Abusive Content: If you see something that you believe violates our policies, whether in profiles, posts, messages, or during a live class, please report it immediately. Your reports, combined with our automated systems, help us identify and address abuse.
- Appeals: If you believe that an action taken on your content or account was an error, you have the right to appeal the decision.
- Consequences of Violation: Violating these policies may result in action against your content or account. Depending on the severity, we may limit content visibility, label it, or remove it entirely. Repeated or egregious offenses will lead to account restrictions or permanent suspension.
By joining and using the GSourcers community, you agree to abide by these policies. Together, we can build a strong, trusted, and productive network for all of Africa.
