How to Build Your GSourcers Network

Joining GSourcers means you’re part of a newly, but growing online professional network in Africa and the Middle East. Here are helpful guidelines for using GSourcers, especially when job searching. GSourcers will help you create and maintain an online profile you can then use to build a professional network. The more you do, the more contacts you could have in your GSourcers network! If you want to build and expand your GSourcers network, follow these steps:

  1. Set up and fill out your GSourcers profile and settings completely.
  2. Check for former colleagues and classmates who are on GSourcers by using specific GSourcers searches.
  3. Import your email contacts.
  4. Add former email addresses to your account so past connections can find you more easily.
  5. Check for people who share interests with you.
  6. Go through your business cards for potential contacts and search for them on GSourcers. Send them an invitation or a request to join.
  7. Search through your current connected contacts.
  8. Advertise yourself by joining and participating in GSourcers groups, questions answers, articles, posts and forums.

  • Make sure the Summary field of your profile contains your critical skills and important career-related keywords in a way that makes the Summary readable (not a spammy list of keywords).
  • Upload examples of your work to your profile by attaching video, pictures, documents, or slide presentations.
