The communication features for both learners and instructors are located in different parts of the GSourcers Learning platform, within the user dashboard and course pages.

 

For Instructors

Instructors manage their communication tools from the user dashboard and the course builder.

  • Announcements: This is a core communication tool for instructors. They can create and send announcements from the left and top right menu for a specific course.
  • Q&A/Discussion Boards: Instructors can manage and respond to questions and discussions directly from the Course Details Page on the front-end, or through the user dashboard where student comments and questions may be aggregated.
  • Live Class Settings: The settings for live classes are configured in Dashboard > Settings > Live Streams within the WordPress dashboard, where the instructor connects the platform to services like Zoom.

 

For Learners

Learners access most communication features from the front-end of the website, primarily on their dashboard and the individual course pages.

  • Q&A/Discussion Boards: On each Course Details Page, there is a specific section or tab for Q&A or discussions where learners can post questions and view answers.
  • Live Class Access: The button to join a live class is located on the Lesson Page within the course curriculum when a live stream lesson is scheduled.
  • Messaging and Profile: Learners can use the private messaging feature (if enabled by the site admin) from their personal profile or dashboard to communicate directly with instructors.
